Alsumeria correspondent injured during Baghdad coverage

Ali Abdulzahrah told Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq that the Alsumeria staff were on the duty of covering the protests that erupted in Baghdad when its correspondent Hisham Wasim was severely injured when directly confronted with a tear gas canister that was fired by security forces. The victim was instantly transferred to Alkindi hospital for medication. 

Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq severely condemns the repeated aggressions against journalists especially during protests. The association demands that Chief- Commander of armed forces and Minister of Interior holds the aggressors accountable and at the same time wishes a hasty recovery for Hisham Wasim.
