{"id":2024,"date":"2018-03-12T11:52:06","date_gmt":"2018-03-12T08:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pfaa-iq.com\/?p=2024"},"modified":"2018-03-12T11:52:06","modified_gmt":"2018-03-12T08:52:06","slug":"journalist-fined-for-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pfaa-iq.com\/?p=2024","title":{"rendered":"Journalist fined for report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kalar preliminary court in Sulaimaniya decided on Tuesday, February 26<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to fine VOI\u2019s correspondent, Delshad Anwar on the background of publishing a report in Rayel magazine which was chief edited by the late Kwa Kremyani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a statement to Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq, Delshad said that he had been fined for ID 3000000 (three million Iraqi dinars) for publishing a report on lands\u2019 takeover by Basim Adnan Hama, an official in the Kurdistani National party and correspondent for the magazine in 2013. \u00a0Delshad confirmed that the money had to be paid from his personal pocket since the magazine is closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq calls upon all authorities in the country to abide to professional standards when dealing with journalists and to keep remote from political and partisan interests.
