TV channel INews Correspondent was denied access to Karbala provincial Council for the second time on Tuesday..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(Haidar Hadi), a reporter for INews, told Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq that the reception of Karbala provincial council prevented him from entering the building as he was going to obtain a permit from a member of the Council, adding that he was “blocked for the second time after he asked the new Governor Nassif al-Khattabi What the Council would provide the Karbalaei citizen and he was surprised to be accused of deception! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association condemns the selective manner in which Haidar Hadi has been subjected to; the deliberate prevention and indictment of the media channel that he represents by Mr. Nassif Al-Khattabi, and considers this a violation of the principle of the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of journalistic work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association calls on the provincial council to rescind the decision to ban INews correspondent.
