Al-Iraqiya\nTV cameraman Ahmed Hamid was slightly injured while on Rashid Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hamid Denas,\nthe father of the journalist told Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq\nthat “Ahmed was on a journalistic mission to cover the protests, during\nwhich he was slightly injured in the head after a tear gas canister was thrown\nnear him.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hamid said\nthe security forces rushed to rescue him, and Ahmed continued his duty after a\nwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the\ntime that Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq wishes safety to its\nfellow journalist Ahmed Hamid, it confirms that the past two months have\nwitnessed a serious setback in press freedom, during which Iraq recorded about\n130 violations against journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
