William Benjamin\nAdam, known as Khalabeel, was kidnapped a few days ago while returning from\nSyria to Dohuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The arrest of\ncolleague William Benjamin was the result of his political atitudes, and he\nheld the authorities in the region fully responsible for the arbitrary behavior\nof the Chaldean activists and demanded his release,” MP Joseph Salhiwa\nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On a related levelm\nAbnaa Alieaq party declared ” Binyamin was on a media mission and was\nkidnapped on his way back from Syria to Dohuk by the security authorities in\nthe province, and the party expressed its fear that this issue will be\nexploited by the authorities to avenge it because of his previous attitude;\nrejecting the policies of the authority in the region, and holding the party\nresponsible for the territorial government’s safety and the need for his\nrelease”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Press Freedom Advocacy\nAssociation in Iraq strongly condemns the kidnapping of colleague William\nBenjamin and calls on the authorities to work for his release.\n\nThe\nassociation also calls on the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to protect\njournalists and hold accountable those who violate their rights and violate\npress freedoms.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
