Unidentified gunmen assassinated the\ndirector of Media “Janabi Group” and one of the supervisors of\nal-Rasheed Tv, Nizar Dhanoun on Tuesday\nmorning in Baghdad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unidentified gunmen riding a\nmotorcycle fired shots at fellow Nizar Dhanoun as he left his home in Al-jamia district\nin the morning, and he died instantly, said Omar al-Hilali, coordinator of Press\nFreedom Advocacy Association in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Association condemns the\nassassination of colleague Nizar Dhanoun, and considers the incident a dire violation of press freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The association also calls on the\nMinistry of Interior and the competent agencies to open an urgent investigation\ninto the incident, reveal who is responsible for the killing of journalists,\nand hand them over to the judiciary to receive their just punishment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
