{"id":3958,"date":"2020-02-21T17:08:21","date_gmt":"2020-02-21T14:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pfaa-iq.com\/?p=3958"},"modified":"2020-02-24T17:09:33","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T14:09:33","slug":"afp-photographer-injured-in-tahrir-square","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pfaa-iq.com\/?p=3958","title":{"rendered":"AFP photographer injured in Tahrir Square"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">21\/2\/2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Ahmed al-Rubaie , AFP photographer\nwas injured while covering Friday\u2019s protests in Baghdad&#8217;s Tahrir Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">A member of the agency, Ammar Karim,\ntold Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq that the photographer Ahmed\nal-Rubaie was on a press mission to report the protests in Baghdad&#8217;s Tahrir\nSquare, and was injured in the leg and shoulder, after riot police fired (steel\nballs) from hunting rifles that are recently used, to disperse the protesters\nthere and was taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The Association, which wishes safety\nto colleague Ahmed al-Rubaie, considers this a clear violation of the freedom\nof the press and the media in the country, and mouth-muzzling process.\n\nThe association also renews its call on the\nsecurity services in the protest arenas to protect cadres from any attack, and\ncalls on journalists to take safe places during coverage of the events\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>21\/2\/2020 Ahmed al-Rubaie , AFP photographer was injured while covering Friday\u2019s protests in Baghdad&#8217;s Tahrir Square.
