investigations did not reveal most of the killings of journalists in different provinces and cities of Iraq.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">International indicators have classified Iraq as one of the most dangerous countries for journalistic work, most notably chronic impunity and lack of accountability, which encourages perpetrators to terrorize journalists and restrict their freedom of action.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Successive governments have raised the slogans of the rule of law, activating the principle of accountability and prosecuting perpetrators in their declared government programs, but have achieved nothing <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">in terms of<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> impunity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Un organizations have also failed to pressure successive Iraqi governments to activate this dangerous dossier and open investigation papers on the assassination of journalists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Press Freedom<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> Advocacy Association<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> in Iraq calls on the government to find a practical and effective solution to end impunity, based on its constitutional duties and <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">obligations<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, and calls on international organizations to press the government to activate this file.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The Association recorded the following numbers:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2010: 4 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2011: Two journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2012: 3 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2013: 22 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2014: 8 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2015: 26 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2016: 9 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2017: 11 journalists killed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"s7\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8211;
