Al-Sharqiya tv presenter Hisham Ali has been subjected to threats and lawsuits for uncovering a huge corruption case involving convicted people held in Iraqi prisons.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Association for Press Freedom<\/span><\/span> Advocacy Association<\/span><\/span> learned from colleague Hisham Ali that <\/span><\/span>certain sides<\/span><\/span> were disturbed by the disclosure of this file, and threatened him by phone, <\/span><\/span>adding<\/span><\/span> that he is taking legal measures to enhance his security and protection.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The presenter of the <\/span><\/span>(G<\/span><\/span>ame of <\/span><\/span>C<\/span><\/span>hairs<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span> revealed a corruption file linked to the former head of the General Retirement Authority Ahmed al-Saadi and the <\/span><\/span>D<\/span><\/span>irector of <\/span><\/span>Q<\/span><\/span>Card, Bahaa Abdul Hussein, who <\/span><\/span>were<\/span><\/span> convicted of financial corruption, and sentenced during his program<\/span><\/span> as he claimed.<\/span><\/span> Also related to the<\/span><\/span> incident <\/span><\/span>that<\/span><\/span>one of the beneficiaries of financial manipulation attended the birth ceremony of the blue whale in South Africa at a cost of 1.5 million dollars.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Association for the Defense of Press Freedom in Iraq, which declares its full solidarity with colleague Hisham Ali, considers that the threats <\/span><\/span>are a<\/span><\/span> flagrant constitutional violation, <\/span><\/span>and demand<\/span><\/span> the intervention of the government <\/span><\/span>who is <\/span><\/span>protecting the constitution <\/span><\/span>where the<\/span><\/span> freedom of the press and the media <\/span><\/span>is guaranteed <\/span><\/span>in all its forms, especially since the <\/span><\/span>presenter<\/span><\/span> did not announce any names or parties involved in the file, and revealed only part of the investigations that were condemned by the former head of the General Retirement Authority.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The assembly calls on the federal government to take action to provide the necessary security and legal protection and <\/span><\/span>abide<\/span><\/span> to the Iraqi constitution.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
