A <\/span><\/span>correspondent and cameraman for I News Agency <\/span><\/span>were slightly injured while covering the protests in Babylon<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Osama al-<\/span><\/span>Abedi<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>correspondent<\/span><\/span> told <\/span><\/span>the Press Freedom <\/span><\/span>Advocacy Association <\/span><\/span>in Iraq<\/span><\/span> that<\/span><\/span>he was hit in the back area by iron balls, while his cameraman, <\/span><\/span>Mithal<\/span><\/span> al-<\/span><\/span>Dulaimi<\/span><\/span>, was hit in the back and leg when they were near the revolution area, on Friday evening, to convey demonstrations demanding the removal of the governor of Babylon, <\/span><\/span>where<\/span><\/span> they <\/span><\/span>were targeted with<\/span><\/span> iron balls by SWAT forces <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After being hit, he was severely beaten by members of the force, which forced him and the cameraman to leave the scene immediately, he said<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Press Freedom <\/span><\/span>Advocacy Association <\/span><\/span>in Iraq<\/span><\/span>expresses <\/span><\/span>its <\/span><\/span>concern that security forces continue to use <\/span><\/span>ferocity<\/span><\/span> against journalists, saying <\/span><\/span>this is <\/span><\/span>a clear violation of the principles of freedom of journalistic and media work<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
