KRG banned Payam channel from covering the visit of the central Federal Government to the region, Aras Aziz, correspondent told Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq that after waiting for a long time at the reception, they were informed that they were not allowed to enter and make the coverage, by the excuse that the channel was affiliated with an Islamic Group, that has many problems with the region’s presidency and the HOR’s recess. Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq considers this ban as a clear violation of the constitution and the regulations of journalism in the country. The Association demands reconsideration and that similar acts are avoided in the future.
