Four colleagues were injured on Tuesday during the night military operations in the process of liberating Alqairawan area south of Mosul.
The Association learnt that both correspondents, Hussein Abdulkadhum Almayahi and Ahmad Hussein Shatub and two photographers, Ali Sabah Almhanna, And Muntadhar Fawzi Alsaaidy, who work for Alwalaa Satellite Channel, were subjected to heavy shelling by ISIS, turning over a vehicle thus resulting in their sustaining a number of fractures and wounds. Accordingly they were carried immediately to a hospital.
At the time that Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq wishes them soon recovery, it encourages all media cadres on field not to escort the security forces on front lines. Security concerns should be realized before engaging in action.
