Haider Almozany, Almarbid Correspondent was subjected to a severe suffocation condition in the protests of Basra on Tuesday
Through a phone call, Haider Almozany told Press Freedom Advocacy Association in Iraq that he was on the protests spot in order to cover the ongoing events, whereas the security forces were firing gas canisters to disperse the protestors. He was suffocating and immediately drew the attention of the medical emergency personnel who were present on site.
At the time that Press Freedom Advocacy Association wishes safety and recovery for our colleague Haider Almozany, it considers this incident a violation and obstruction to media function that conveys reality to public.
The association obliges all press personnel to take a safe footfallto secure safety during coverage.
