Abbas alAlawy, Iraqia Satellite Channel cameraman was injured during the liberation operations on Friday. alAlawy sustained a number of injuries due to an explosion that occurred during his being on site for coverage.
alAlawy, hospitalized , is healing from minor injuries and hopefully will be well soon. He works for the Iraqia and is the presenter of a cultural program, recently he took part in escorting the security forces that headed to liberate Falluja.
At the time that Press Freedom Advocacy Association expresses its wish that our colleague recovers soon, we ask all media bodies to provide their front lines correspondents with appropriate training and means of protection. And not to send any inexperienced personnel to such areas of high risk.
